If you want to participate in modern society, you must accept that EMF exposure is part of the deal.
In recent years more conscious consumers have raised concerns over the long-term health effects of this exposure and are actively looking for ways to mitigate any harm.
As someone who relies on wi-fi to play ball in the 21st century, I’m always looking for new tools to help protect me from any adverse effects.
The Somavedic is one such tool that claims to mitigate EMF exposure.
The Somavedic team challenged me to review their product with these claims in mind.

What Is The Somavedic?
The Somavedic is a device designed to create a coherent field of energy that covers more than 100 square feet.
It’s based on the principle of controlled release of energy from precious and semi-precious stones including ruby, cobalt, uranium oxide, and gold – all minerals known for their health benefits.
The team at Somavedic believes that by balancing and harmonizing your body’s energy field, you can reduce EMF exposure and avoid the associated health consequences.
Functionally it’s very similar to a tabletop salt lamp where you soak in the “vibes” of the device.
The biggest difference is that this device has published evidence of mitigating emf exposure and structuring water.
Did I mention it also structures water? That’s a pretty cool feature too.
Simply place drinking water next to the unit and in 15 minutes the water becomes properly structured for optimal hydration benefits.
How Does The Somavedic Work?
The heart of Somavedic is made of semi-precious and precious stones and metals such as platinum, palladium, gold, and silver.
When you turn on the device, these minerals start to vibrate and emit their own unique frequency.
This frequency cancels out much of the EMF field, restoring balance and harmony.
In theory, reducing EMF exposure should mitigate some of the harmful effects of electromagnetic radiation.

Structured Water
Structuring water is one of Somavedic’s most promising features. The science of structured water is still in its infancy, but there is a lot of promise.
Structured (or hexagonal) water is the form of water most commonly found in nature and our bodies.
It’s the most bio-available state of water and has been shown to have improved absorption and hydration properties.
It can also help improve the transport of nutrients and oxygen around the body.

How I Use The Somavedic
When I first received the Somavedic I had no idea what to expect.
I approach health and wellness with one foot in stringent scientific integrity and one foot in the woo-woo.. so I was open to what this product promised.
The unit itself is fairly basic and requires minimal effort to set up. Simply pull it out of the box and plug it in.
I keep the device as centrally located as possible on a countertop in my living room as the manufacturer recommends.
For water structuring, I just leave a full jar of filtered water next to the unit and let it do its magic.
My Results
I’ll admit, I didn’t have many expectations for the Somavedic.
Even as hard as I go with the woo, I really didn’t expect much.
I’ve actually been shocked with my results.
For the first few weeks, I had the device plugged in I saw my Oura readiness scores 10-20% higher than normal.
This means my nighttime heart rate was adequately lowering while my HRV was subsequently raising indicating more parasympathetic tone, recovery, and relaxation.
My sleep scores also saw a steady improvement over that time.
While I don’t think that the device was doing the heavy lifting, I do think that it contributed to better health, better vibes, and stress response.
This was crucial for me as at that time my work, life, and school load were as heavy as it has ever been.
Even as I use it now I feel able to seamlessly get into a flow state and coast through the day with balanced energy.
